Applications are invited from unmarried Candidates who fulfill eligibility conditions of Nationality as laid down by the Government of India for grant of Short Service Commission (SSC) in Technical (Engineering (E) & Electrical (L) Branches of the India Navy for course commencing July 2010.

* Eligibility Conditions:
o Age:
+ Technical (General Service): 19 1/2 to 25 years Branch ('E' & 'L') (i.e. born between 02 July 1985 to 01 Jan 1991 both dates inclusive)
+ Submarine Cadre ('E' & 'L'): 19 1/2 to 25 years (i.e. born between 02 July 1985 to 01 Jan 1991 both dates inclusive)
+ Naval Architecture Cadre: 21 to 25 years (i.e. born between 02 July 1985 to 01 Jan 1989 both dates inclusive)
o Educational Qualification: Four years BE/B.Tech Engineering Degree qualified with minimum 60% marks in aggregate from a recognized university with one of the following streams:
+ Technical Branch (General Service):
# Engineering (E) Branch 'Mechanical' or 'Production' or 'Marine' or 'Control' or 'Aeronautical' (Eligible only men)
# Electrical Branch (L) 'Electrical' or 'Electronics' or 'Avionics' or 'Instrumentation & control' or 'Telecommunication' (Eligible only Men)
+ Submarine Cadre:
# Engineering Branch: Mechanical (Only Men Eligible)
# Electrical Branch: 'Electrical' or 'Electronics' or 'Control' or 'Telecommunication' (Only Men Eligible)
+ Naval Architecture Cadre:

Eligibility Conditions:
Age: 21-25 years (i.e. born between 02 July 1985 and 01 July 1989; both dates inclusive)
Educational Qualification:
BE/ B.Tech in Mech/ Electronics/ Electrical/ Computer Science/ IT/ Telecommunication and BE/ B.Tech (EEE/ECE) with minimum 60% marks
OR
A Master's Degree in one of the following with minimum of 50% marks
Physics (with Maths in B.Sc.),

Indian Navy invites applications from unmarried Male candidates for enrolment as Sailors for Senior Secondary Recruits (SSR)-2/2010 Batch (Course Commencing 02 Aug 2010)
+ Educational Qualification: Qualified on in 10+2/ equivalent examination with Maths and Physics and atleast one of these subjects; Chemistry/ Biology/ Computer Science.
+ Age: Candidates should have been born between (01 Aug 1989 to 31 July 1993 both dates inclusive)
+ Pay and Perquisites:
* Pay & Allowances:
+ During the initial training period, stipend of Rs. 5700/- pm will be admissible but on successful completion of initial training and amount equal to the minimum of scale as mentioned below, less stipend already paid, shall be admissible with retrospective effect.
+ On completion of initial training, they will be placed in the Pay Band of Rs. 5200-20200. In addition they will be paid Grade Pay @ Rs. 2000/- plus MSP @ Rs. 2000/- plus DA.

b) Eye Sight- The min. acceptable vision standard for distant vision 6/60, 6/60 correctable to 6/6, 6/12 with glasses.
