Assistant Commandants at pay of Rs. 15600-39100 with grade pay Rs. 5400/- in the following disciplines:
Assistant Commandant (General Duty):
+ Qualification: Bachelors degree in any discipline of a recognized university by the Central/ UGC with Mathematics and Physics as subjects up to 12th Std. of 10+2+3 scheme of education.
+ Age: Born Between 01 July 85 and 30 Jun 89

Asst. Commandant (General Duty-Pilot-Navigator) (The candidates failed in Pilot Aptitude Battery Test (PABT) need not apply:
+ Qualification: B.Sc. with mathematics and Physics.
+ Age: Born Between 01 July 83 and 30 Jun 91

Asst. Commandant Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) Holders for Short Service Appointment as Helicopter and Fixed wing pilots for a period of 08 years, which may be extended to 10 years and may be further extended up to 14 years by the Competent Authority.
+ Qualification: 12th Class passed or equivalent and should possess current commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) on the date of submission of application.
+ Age: Born Between 01 July 83 and 30 Jun 91

Asst. Commandant Women (General Duty) for Short Service Appointment for a period of 08 years, which may be extended to 10 years and may be further extended up to 14 years by the Central Govt.:
+ Qualification: Degree of a recognized university with Mathematics and Physics as subjects up to Intermediate or Class XII of 10+2+3 scheme of education or equivalent.
+ Age: Born Between 01 July 85 and 30 Jun 89

Assistant Commandant Technical Branch (Mechanical and Electrical):
+ Qualification: Degree in Naval Architecture/ Marine Mechanical/ Electrical/ Telecommunication & Electronic/ Design/ Production/ Aeronautical/ Control Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification, discipline in any of the above, recognized by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) or marine Engineering graduates of IMET Kolkata, OR In Possession of Government of India, Ministry of Surface Transport Certificate of Competency as 1st Class Engineer of Motor ship or other similar certificate recognized by the government. OR Possesses final examination certificate of the College of Marine Engineering under the Department of surface Transport, Government of India, OR Have passed Section 'A' & 'B' of Institute of Engineers (India) Examination in any of the disciplines listed at above.
+ Age: Born Between 01 July 80 and 30 Jun 89
